The Sir. Community

November 17, 2007 LAN Party Weekend

GeForce LAN

This weekend, several Sir. Community members are involved in LAN parties across the globe. Our resident technology expert Sir. MatDef was sent to GeForce LAN 4 in Alameda, CA. He is spending the whole weekend there, sharing the magic of our Demo Reel with fellow gamers, celebrating the recent release of Crysis, and scouting out new filming and modding opportunities for the future.

I interviewed him about the day's events and he said, "We showed up and the place was packed. After unloading the computer, we looked around for a bit and then decided to show off the the demo reel. Several LANgoers gathered around to watch, and they all enjoyed it. Later on, there was a talk and Q&A session with some Crysis developers, followed by a peanut butter eating contest, epic dance-off, and haircuts." And that's just the first day!

On the other side of the pond, some of our esteemed members from the United Kingdom are gathering for the first-ever Sir. Community UK LAN Party in Birmingham, England. Expect to see pictures of drunken revelry and possibly videos of dry British humor in a few days.
